LT 731
Multimedia Production
Instructor: Dr. Ray Thompson
Course Description:
This course focused on the use of digital media
for instruction and training.
Course Reflections
This
was one of my favorite courses in the MSET program. Before this course, I
had very little experience with digital photography and video. We worked with
all components of digital media, including text, graphics, video, and audio. We
analyzed web pages for effective use of text and graphics, interactivity, and
language syntax. We edited digital photos, some that we took with the digital
cameras and some that we scanned into files. We also
worked in groups to create our own videos, using
proper planning, lighting, sound, and recording techniques.
A group of us went all over Mitchell, SD videotaping different sites and then
pieced them together using iMovie to make a practice video called "How the
Jackelope Lost His Antler". We added narration, text, and music.
Nearly all of the work completed throughout the course was used in a
final project. Tammie Munsen and I
worked together to create
a patriotic website to be used in the lower elementary.
We made a video on the proper way to fold a flag. I have used this website
in my first grade class.
